SUFFOLK UNIVERSITY

SCHOOL ART & DESIGN BRANDING

During my Master's program, I worked part-time as the In-House Designer for Suffolk University. For the first year and a half, I was in the Office of Student Leadership and Involvement, and in the last half of the second year, I was hired by the program director to brand the Master's program I was in. The New England School of Art and Design was acquired by Suffolk only in 2017, which means they never had a chance to establish their new identity within the SU community. I worked with another designer to make sure our program's outreach stood out from the crowd (especially at recruitment fairs), and was representative of its student body.

LOGO & ANIMATION

The logo of MAGD Class of 2019 was based on rudimentary drawings of the letters "MAGD" coming together in different blends and colorful arrays to become a dynamic visual mark. These colors and shapes were carried across different collateral designed for print marketing, social media, and recruitment purposes.

To promote an alumni exhibition at the Suffolk University gallery, we created social media content to showcase the artist and their 'vision' through a ripped paper texture revealing a teaser of the artwork that they produced since graduating from the program.

PROMO POSTER DESIGN FOR MASTER'S THESIS

I took lead to design the promotional posters by photographing each exhibitor for the 2019 Master of Art in Graphic Design thesis exhibition and creating a layout that features their work in a halo behind them. Each person has a typeface dedicated to them as well, which later becomes the pattern for the main poster of the event. The colors were inspired by night and day, stemming from the dichotomous themes of our exhibition, "Breaking Clear."

OFFICIAL MASTER'S THESIS EVENT POSTER

This is the official event poster for our exhibition, "Breaking Clear." It includes all the typefaces and associated names of each student featured in the exhibition, to capture our identities in one piece. Actual print size: 24x36"
