.lying awake.
When we daydream, we go to another place in our minds, until something jolts us back into reality. Then the daydream is calcified into a moment in time, like a statue dipped in gold.

Representative of a gateway between escape and reality, portals of reality was designed to be 12 game doorways into information. It was inspired by mystery doors, where people learn something new behind each door they choose.
Portals of Reality
Besides the answer, "Resolutions", all the numbers and corresponding titles were related to the statistic related to how much time we spend on certain things. For example, 27 "Waiting" was an illustration portraying how we spend 27 years waiting for transportation.

Board of Reveries

WORKDAYS
EVERY WEEK
.pattern design 08.
Board of Reveries is based on
the tangibility of a board game, but
was inspired primarily by the layout of a chess board. But instead of chess pieces, the grid spaces are replaced with envelopes holding cards with secret symbols.
Solving this puzzle required you to take a step back and revisit a previous station (Portals of Reality) and realize how it is connected. It sends you the message that sometimes the answers are right in front of your face, and you just have to reach out and grasp it to understand its meaning.
The envelopes have the same symbols as the station, "Portals of Reality", and they represent the 9am to 5pm workdays are normally tied to. It is reminiscent of the moments where we watch the clock and daydream about more entertaining things.
SOLUTION: 9

The symbol on number 9 matches the symbol on "Resolutions" in the Portals of Reality puzzle.

Fibonacci Playing Cards

DECADES
BEFORE RETIREMENT
The Fibonacci playing cards are based on a
mix of dreams and everyday imagination. Each character costume and makeup was designed, directed and edited by me.

These cards are designed to show how glitchy our memories can be when we’re in the process of waking up or falling asleep - like the cusp between utopia and dystopia.
The maze on the back is a distraction, as all of us are easily distracted by ruminating on past mistakes or worrying about the future, instead of focusing on what is happening right now in the present.
SOLUTION: 25

Using the Fibonacci Sequence, the missing numbers are 2 and 5 because
1+1 is 2, 2+1 is 3 and 3+2 is 5. The sequence is also related to the Golden Ratio in design.
