EAST MEETS WEST - CINDY X BEN

I'm usually not a huge fan of going to museums unless there's an exhibition that interests me. Luckily, New York is a constant hub of creative expos and I found a gem at the MET summer of 2015, the first year I pursued fashion internships in the big apple. The "China Through the Looking Glass" exhibition, focused on "the impact of Chinese design on Western fashion over the centuries". Curated by Andrew Bolton, major designers channeled reflections of Chinese imagery through their technical prowess. This exhibition resonated with me. I am a composition of eastern and western cultures. I wanted to create something that represented that.
